AllOne Foundation Shows Support for “We Are Y” Program

AllOne Check Presentation

AllOne Foundation presented the Greater Scranton YMCA with a $25,000 grant to benefit the “We Are Y” program. “We Are Y” is a program serving individuals with varying disabilities.

The program is held on Wednesday evenings at the GS YMCA and includes dance, group and family exercise, special events and more. The grant also allowed the Y to purchase inclusive playground equipment. The program is free for participants and their families.

PCAA Awards Grant to Cancer Institute

The Prostate Cancer Awareness Alliance (PCAA) of NEPA recently awarded the Northeast Regional Cancer Institute with a $10,000 grant.

This generous investment and partnership with PCAA will help the Cancer Institute provide a multifaceted approach to Men’s Health and Prostate Cancer Education and Awareness.

The Cancer Institute will have the resources to host a range of prostate cancer education and awareness activities throughout the 2017 calendar year.

Area Students Awarded UNICO Scholarships

Dunmore’s Keystone Chapter of UNICO National has awarded two $1,000 Scholarships.

The winners are shown, seated from left: Shayonna Escalera of Holy Cross High School, who will attend Cedar Crest College majoring in nursing, and Nicholas Maldonato of Dunmore High School, who will attend Temple University majoring in finance.
