UNICO Announces Coloring Contest Winners

Dunmore’s Keystone Chapter UNICO National recently announced the winners from the 10th annual Columbus Day Coloring Contest conducted for all students in the second-grade classes at the Dunmore Elementary Center and Saint Mary’s Parochial School. 

The student with the winning entry from each of the second grades received their artwork entry professionally framed and a $25 gift card to Wal-Mart.

UNICO Hosts 19th Annual Soccer Tournament

The Scranton Chapter of UNICO National organized its 19th annual soccer cup for local high school boys and girls all stars. The meet was held at Riverfront Sports Arena, Scranton.

New Members Inducted to Keystone UNICO

At the recent Keystone UNICO membership meeting Kathy Casarin and Ashley Whelan were inducted into the chapter.  Member Mary Ann Stoppini entertained the guests with an enlightening book review of Tembe Locke’s book “From Scratch”.  Michele McDade and Lenore Latarewicz gave an update on the Keystone Chapter’s bingo fundraiser. 

This year marks the 10th Anniversary of the chartering of the Keystone Chapter of UNICO National.  Membership requires being of Italian ancestry or having a spouse who does.  Applications can be obtained by contacting Ann Summa at 570-561-5944 or Mark McDade at 570-343-7009.
