UNICO Members Plan Annual Golf Tournament

UNICO Golf Tournament

Planning for the Keystone UNICO Golf Tournament is in “full swing”.  This year Tech42 is partnering with Keystone UNICO and the Greater Scranton YMCA to make this years tournament an even greater success.  The kick off meeting was recently conducted at the YMCA in Dunmore.  

The Captain and Crew Tournament will be conducted on June 4 with a shotgun start at 8 a.m. at the Sand Springs Golf Course in Drums.  The registration fee of $90 includes continental breakfast, greens fees, golf carts, beer, soda, water and hot dogs during play and a gift for each golfer.  

Game prizes will include “Hole in One” sponsored by R.J. Burne Cadillac, Closest to the Pin, Longest Drive and Longest Drive for Seniors.  The tournament will conclude with a Luncheon and Program.  This tournament benefits the Greater Scranton YMCA and local Keystone UNICO Scholarships.

Annual O’Malley Easter Party Set for Sunday, April 9th

The 18th annual O’Malley free Easter party will be held on Sunday, April 9, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Keyser Valley Community Center located on the corner of Keyser Ave. and Jackson Street in Scranton.

Children from preschool to fifth grade are all welcome to meet the Easter Bunny, Chuck E. Cheese, and Andy the Aardvark from Texas Roadhouse. There will be a picture with the Easter Bunny, Goodfella’s Pizza, orange drink, a half pound chocolate bunny, a McDonald’s cheeseburger & fries coupon, a free kids meal from the Texas Roadhouse, Utz potato chips, and a Krispy Kreme donut.

Friends of The Arc Auxiliary welcome new members

The Friends of The Arc Auxiliary Board welcomed new members Mary Theresa Montoro, Maryann Schlesser and Liz Toms at a recent meeting.
