Annual Bocce Tournament Draws Crowd

The Walker Comerford Law firm won the 26th annual Lackawanna County Commissioners Bocce Tournament held a McDade Park in early June.  The popular day-long event attracted 100 players.

26th Annual Commissioners’ Bocce Tournament set for June 10th

The Lackawanna County Commissioners gather with organizers of this year’s 26th annual Commissioners’ Bocce Tournament, which will be held on Saturday, June 10, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. at McDade Park.

The event will feature 24 teams with over 96 players in men’s, women’s and mixed teams categories. For information, contact John Rettura at (570) 961-2335 or the McDade Park Office at (570) 963-6764.

Third Annual UNICO Bocce Tournament

Keystone Chapter UNICO held its third annual Bocce Tournament at Arcaro and Genell’s in Old Forge with over 50 players in attendance. The Mule Barn Bocce Team won first place.

Keystone UNICO would like to thank John Rettura, Silvio Mele, Steve Evers and the rest of the committee for all of their hard work that went into making this tournament a success. All proceeds from the Tournament go to local scholarships and charities.
