As part of its “Random Act of Kindness” program, Dunmore’s Keystone Chapter UNICO made a donation to Frances Willard Elementary School in support of its Scholastic Book Club Program.

The UNICO Foundation Torraco Food/Shelter Fund recently donated $1,000 to the Saint Patrick Parish Food Pantry. 

The UNICO Foundation is pleased to support such a worthy cause, especially in these challenging times.

Promotion announcement from Fidelity Bank

Daniel J. Santaniello, President & CEO, Fidelity Bank, has announced the promotion of Theresa M. Hinton, Esq., CTFA, to Senior Vice President, General Counsel. 

In her new role as General Counsel, Hinton manages the Bank’s legal portfolio. 

Hinton holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Administration from St. Francis University, Loretto, PA, and a Juris Doctor degree from Duquesne University School of Law, Pittsburgh.

She earned her Certified Trust and Financial Advisor (CTFA) designation in 2019, and her professional affiliations include membership in the Pennsylvania and Lackawanna County Bar Associations.

An active member of the community, Hinton is a board member of the Women’s Resource Center, a member of Lackawanna County Pro Bono’s Elder Law Clinic, and a member of the Estate Planning Council of NEPA. She is also the assistant women’s tennis coach at Marywood University.

Lions Club’s annual benefit show

The Dunmore Lions Club held its annual benefit show featuring “The Magic of Damian,” Pennsylvania’s foremost magician. This marks the 29th year the Lions have featured Damian’s magic to elementary students in Dunmore Elementary Schools, including Saint Mary’s Elementary Center, this year’s host. All proceeds will be utilized for scholarships to help defray college expenses for Dunmore and Holy Cross High Schools.
