At a Columbus Day Dinner of Lackawanna County, a fundraiser offering several baskets of cheer were raffled off with proceeds being donated to St. Joseph’s Center.

Ladies selling chances for the raffle were, from left: Michele McDade, Nicole Lubash, Mary Francis Feduchak and Marianne Cognetti.  

Joseph Parise is president of the Columbus Day Association of Lackawanna County.

 

Commissioners Join “Wish Partner Club”

Maggie O’Brien, inside left, Regional Director for Make-A-Wish, presented a “Wish Partner Club” certificate to the Lackawanna County Commissioners in recognition of their support during the recent Holiday Market.

Make-A-Wish collected $2,500 in donations from individuals who ice skated during the three-day craft show at the former Globe.  The proceeds helped to grant a wish for a local youngster.

Purple Club Holiday Raffle Supports Scholarship Funds

The Purple Club met recently to pick winners of the annual holiday raffle. Proceeds from the raffle fund scholarships for local students attending the University of Scranton.
