Lady Bucks Win Intraborough Girls Basketball Champion Game

The Intraborough Girls Basketball Champion Game between the Dunmore Bucks and the Holy Cross Crusaders was recently held at Lackawanna College sponsored by the Dunmore Lions Club This year the Dunmore High School Girls defeated the Holy Cross High School Girls by a score of 58-44.

Dunmore Lions Club hosts annual benefit show

The Dunmore Lions Club held its annual benefit show featuring “The Magic of Damian,” voted Pennsylvania’s magician of the year by the International Brotherhood of Magicians. This year’s event was held at St. Mary of Mount Carmel Elementary School, Dunmore Pa. All proceeds benefit community projects, particularly those with impaired hearing or sight.

Local students awarded scholarships

Students from Holy Cross High School and Dunmore High School were awarded scholarships by the Dunmore Lions Club at the 35th annual Scholarship Award Banquet held recently at Carmella’s Restaurant.
