“Ballet by the Beach” Set for Saturday May 8th

Ballet Theatre of Scranton, in partnership with the NEPA Philharmonic and Lackawanna County Department of Arts and Culture, will present “Ballet by the Beach” on Saturday, May 8 at 5 p.m. at Covington Park. Rain date is May 9 at 5 pm.

Ballet Theatre of Scranton’s “The Nutcracker” to Air on FOX 56

Ballet Theatre of Scranton will present its 45th annual performance of The Nutcracker under the artistic direction of Joanne Arduino and featuring Celia Eagen of Dunmore (shown in photo) as Clara on Dec. 23-26. FOX 56 will air the production on its stations WOLF, WSWB and WQMY. Check local listings for air times.

The beloved ballet was also recently presented at the Circle Drive-In.

“The Nutcracker” to be Presented at Circle Drive-In

Ballet Theatre of Scranton, under the artistic direction of Joanne Arduino, will present its 45th annual performances of “The Nutcracker” quite differently this season, but the tradition of their gift to the community will continue!

In partnership with Goodwill’s Theater at North and sponsored by the Charles DeNaples family, the production will be presented at the Circle Drive In on Nov. 20 and 21st at 5 and 8 pm. Admission is free and the first 300 cars will be admitted. Kick off the holiday season and enjoy the comfort of your own car as you and your family view visions of sugarplums on the big screen!

Dunmore’s Celia Eagen will be featured in the role of Clara. Additionally, on Dec 23-26, FOX 56 will present the production on their stations WOLF, WSWB and WQMY. Check local listings for air times.
