UNICO supports “Cookies for Courage” fundraiser

Dunmore’s Keystone UNICO recently presented a donation to the “Cookies For Courage” fundraiser at their stand during the Sherwood Park Summer Festival.  This ongoing fundraiser was started by young Avery Shivock with support from her family. All money raised is donated to the “Beads for Courage” program for children being treated for cancer at CHOPS in Philadelphia.

UNICO hosts August picnic, welcomes new member

Dunmore’s Keystone UNICO conducted its August picnic at the Arcaro and Genell Bocce Courts.  Frankie Gervasi provided the entertainment and Arcaro & Genell Restaurant provided the menu.  Another highlight was the induction of Marie Merkel as a new member.

Selling porketta by the pound at La Festa

Members of the Scranton UNICO porketta committee and served over 4000 pounds of porketta for this year’s La Festa Italiana which was held at the Courthouse Square over Labor Day Weekend.
