Students Draw to Spread Word on Stroke Prevention

Dunmore students with Regional RNsTiffany Dickson and Melanie Mott, stroke coordinators at Commonwealth Health Regional Hospital of Scranton, held a stroke education program at Dunmore Elementary School.

Students were asked to draw pictures of what a stroke means to them.

Their submissions are being used in the hospital’s stroke coloring book and some drawings were chosen to help spread the word on stroke prevention.

UNICO Bakes Up Support for St. Joe’s

Dunmore’s Keystone Chapter UNICO raised $1535 for Saint Joseph’s Center with their popular homemade baked goods and donations. Pictured are some of the many Keystone UNICO members who baked and manned the Baked Goods Stand at Saint Joseph’s Festival.

ARC to Sponsor Night at the Races

ARC night at the races

ARC will sponsor a Night at the Races on Friday, Nov. 9, at St. Mary’s Center, Scranton. Doors open at 6 p.m., with post time at 6:30.

There will be door prizes, raffle baskets, 50/50 drawing, free soft drinks and food, and a beer/wine cash bar until 10 p.m. Donation is $10.
