Honky Tonk Restaurant Small Business Spotlight Pix

The Honky Tonk Restaurant of Dunmore was the small business spotlighted at the February Lackawanna County Commissioners Meeting.  This “Old West”- themed bar and grill is well-known for its homemade food and friendly staff. The restaurant, located at 763 East Drinker St., is open seven days a week with entertainment every Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

The Honky Tonk features take-out service, daily specials, and smoking and non-smoking areas. Owners Debbie and Tony Lupia, who have been in the hospitality business for 32 years, employ 20 people.

Boy Scouts’ Annual Pasta Fagioli Dinner Set for March 23rd

Boy Scouts in Troop 66, Dunmore, will host the troop’s annual Pasta Fagioli dinner on Friday, March 23, from 4 to 7:30 p.m. at Dunmore Presbyterian Church, 137 Chestnut St. Tickets are $8 and will be available at the door. The meal includes pasta, salad, bread, dessert and beverages. Takeouts will be available.

UNICO Plans Pig Roast for April 14th

Dunmore’s Keystone Chapter UNICO National will conduct their annual Charity Pig Roast on Saturday, April 14, at Fiorelli’s Banquet Hall, Peckville.  The ARC of Northeastern PA has been named as this year’s primary beneficiary of this popular event.

Reservations at $55 include a Rich Banick professional 5×7 photo; a photo booth; two hours of open bar with hors d’oeuvres, and a full Italian buffet; entertainment by “EJ the DJ” and much more. All guests will also be entered into a Grand Prize drawing for dinner at Angelo’s and a limo.
