Marywood Club Supports “Toys for Tots”

Marywood University’s Aviation Club held its annual Toys for Tots fundraiser, which raises funds through various on-campus events.

Following the fundraiser, members of the club purchased and delivered toys to children in the pediatrics department at Commonwealth Health Moses Taylor Hospital.

UNICO Coloring Contest Winners

Keystone UNICO announced the winners in their annual coloring contest for second grade students in both the Dunmore Elementary Center and Saint Mary’s parochial school.

Recipients received gift certificates and their entries professionally framed.

Lackawanna River in the Running for “River of the Year”

The Lackawanna River has been nominated for the 2018 Pennsylvania River of the Year Award.  The Lackawanna County Commissioners helped to spread the word about the campaign with remarks by Bernie McGurl, inside left, Executive Director of the Lackawanna River Corridor, at their recent meeting.

Interested parties can vote for the Lackawanna River by visiting the County’s website www.lackawannacounty.org.
