Physician assistant open houses at Marywood

Physician Assistant students are shown in class this summer at Marywood’s new Pascucci Health Sciences Pavilion. Open house events for students interested in Physician Assistant Studies at Marywood University will be held in August, both on site and virtually.

Marywood University is hosting several physician assistant open house events, including an on-site event and a virtual event. The on-site event is set for Thursday, August 8, from 5-7 p.m. Prospective students will meet with Physician Assistant faculty and current students and learn more about the admissions process. 

The open house also includes a Q & A session and tour of the program facilities, which are located in the newly-added Pascucci Family Health Sciences Pavilion. Interested students can register at https://admissions.marywood.edu/register/PA_OH

A virtual information session is also set for Wednesday, August 28, from 5-7 p.m. During the online session, prospective physician assistant students can interact virtually with Physician Assistant faculty and current students and learn more about the admissions process. The virtual session also includes a Q & A session.

Penn State alumni to host 2024 Kick-Off Party on August 21st

The Scranton Chapter of the Penn State Alumni Association announces its 2024 “Kick-Off” Pizza Party. The popular event will be held Wednesday, August 21st at Arcaro & Genell’s, Main Street, Old Forge. 

Doors open at 6 p.m.. Refreshments will include pizza, salad and soft drinks. There will be a $5 donation. Children under 12 are free. No reservations needed. All welcome. Cooper’s raises $40,000 for St. Joseph’s Center
