Pandarella cooks up pancakes, support for injured officer

PANDARELLA, located on Drinker Street in the Dunmore Corners, recently held a pancake breakfast which raised $2,700 for Scranton Police Officer Kyle Gilmartin who was critically injured in the performance of his duties.

The local eatery donated part of their sales and took donations to help Officer Gilmartin and his family.

Local Missing Children’s Day event

A special program was conducted on recently on the Spruce Street side of Courthouse Square near the Michelle Jolene Lakey kiosk to mark National Missing Children’s Day.  Several law enforcement personnel and family members offered remarks.

Participants involved in planning the event were, from left: Scranton Police Lieutenant Len Namoetka, Scranton Police Captain Dennis Lukasewicz, Lackawanna County District Attorney Shane Scanlon, Commissioner Patrick M. O’Malley and Lackawanna County Judge Thomas Munley.
