THIS MONTH: Penn State Alumni Assoc. Recruitment Night

The Greater Scranton Chapter of The Penn State Alumni Association will hold its annual “Recruiting Night” on Friday, Feb. 3, at with doors opening at 6 p.m. at Arcaro & Genell, Old Forge.

For the eight consecutive year, the guest presenter will be Donnie Collins, columnist and Penn State beat reporter for the Scranton Times-Tribune. Collins will present a video presentation at 7 p.m. of the incoming Penn State football recruiting class. He will also include a discussion of the football program and host a Q&A session.

There are no membership requirements. Suggested donation is $5 per person and will include pizza, soft drinks and salad.

Penn State Alumni Assoc. to Host Recruiting Night

The Greater Scranton Chapter of The Penn State Alumni Association will hold its annual “Recruiting Night” on Friday, March 11, at the Penn State Scranton Campus, Dunmore, in the Study Learning Center at the View Café. 

For the seventh consecutive year, the guest presenter will be Donnie Collins, a columnist and the Penn State beat reporter for the Scranton Times-Tribune. Collins will present a video presentation of the Penn State incoming football recruiting class of 2022 as well as a discussion of the football program and a Q&A session.   

Doors open at 6 p.m. with the presentation at 7.  There is no charge for the general public.

Penn State Alumni Pizza Party Planned for August 11th

The Scranton Chapter of the Penn State Alumni Association has announced its 2021 Kick-off Pizza Party.  The popular event will be held Wednesday, Aug. 11, at Arcaro & Genell’s, Main Street, Old Forge.  Doors open at 6 p.m. Refreshments will include pizza, salad and soft drinks.  

The party is free for all new and current chapter members.  (Children under 12 are also free).  There is a complimentary first year membership for 2021 PSU grads.  Membership sign-ups will be available at the door for the general public. No reservations are needed.

Several season ticket packages, individual game tickets, and a preferred parking pass will be auctioned off.  

Additionally, Scranton Times-Tribune sports columnist Donnie Collins will preview the upcoming season in a presentation beginning at 7:15 p.m.
