9/11 Memorial Committee to Honor Old Glory on June 14th

Flag DayThe 9/11 Memorial Committee plans for the annual commemoration of Flag Day and Army Day on June 14.

The resolution describing the layout of the US Flag was adopted on June 14, 1777 and the Continental Army was formed on June 14, 1775.

The event is open to the public and begins at 5 p.m. on Thursday, June 14,and will include the pageant of flags of US history. Composite Squadron 201 of the Civil Air Patrol will escort the flags.

Vietnam Memorial Monument Dedication

Lackawanna County Vietnam Memorial Committee recently dedicated a monument at the Lackawanna County Courthouse in honor of the 55 Lackawanna County Veterans who lost their lives in the Vietnam War.
