Dunmore’s Keystone Chapter UNICO has scheduled its 10th Anniversary Celebration for Saturday, April 23rd at Fiorelli’s Catering and Banquet Hall, Peckville.
The primary beneficiary from this event will be ClothesLine For Men, operated by Friends of the Poor. The evening will have a Black and White/Big Band Theme. Formal Attire will be welcomed but not required. There will be entertainment for listening and dancing pleasure by Frankie and Toby. There will be a complimentary cocktail hour with passed hors d’oeuvres.
Raffles will include: The Italian Money Umbrella; Wilbur, the Classic Italian Pig, with a belly filled with cash; and the ever-popular Italian Basket Raffle. News Announcer Nick Toma from WYOU/WBRE TV will announce all raffle winners. All guests will receive a 5×7 souvenir photo taken by Richard Banick that evening.

Keystone UNICO presented a donation to Make-A-Wish of Greater Pennsylvania, as part of the ongoing “Random Act of Kindness Program” at their January meeting at Colarusso’s Coal Fire Pizza.
The goal of Make-A-Wish is to grant the wishes of local children who live with the fear and uncertainty of a life-threatening disease. In Lackawanna County alone, 300 children have been recipients of a “Magical Wish” since 1983.

United States Marines were “At The Ready” to load the Toys for Tots onto their truck. They are Staff Sergeant Sal Dely, Staff Sergeant Andrew Clark and Sergeant Adam Vasquez. The Marines really enjoyed their evening with Keystone UNICO.

Dunmore’s Keystone UNICO Christmas Party at Fiorelli’s was a wonderful evening with enjoyment for all 93 attendees. Four new members were inducted into the Chapter by UNICO National Executive Vice President Dr. Peter Pettinato.
A check presentation was made to Saint Joseph’s Center in memory of Chapter Charter Member Cherie’ Mecca by her mother, Keystone Chapter Charter member Dolores Mecca. Accepting the check was UNICO member Sister Mary Alice Jacquinot, IHM.
Another highlight of the evening was the three U.S. Marines who were present to accept the plethora of Christmas gifts and monetary donations for their annual Toys for Tots Drive, an annual ritual for Keystone since its chartering. This donation was cochaired by Peter and Sallie Noto.
Entertainment was provided by song stylist Jimmie Cerminaro throughout the evening, with Italian love songs and traditional Christmas music to listen to and dance by. Several songs were duets with Keystone Member Toni DiVizio. Three Christmas stockings stuffed with PA Lottery Tickets were raffled off to three lucky winners–Marie Burke, Dr. Frank DeFrank and Val Riggi. Fiorelli’s dinner buffet made the evening complete.
