Hook O’Malley Race Against Cancer set for August 20th

The 31st annual Paul “Hook” O’Malley 1 Mile FireCracker Race Against Cancer will be held on Sunday, Aug. 20, at 707 North South Rd., Scranton. Race registration will be from 8:15am to 9:45am. The race will start promptly at 10 a.m.

Hook O’Malley was a local boxing trainer who succumbed to cancer on Sept. 25, 1992. He had an immense impact on the youth of this community which is still felt to this day. All donations benefit the American Cancer Society.

Annual Hook O’Malley 5K Set for Sunday August 20th

The 25th Anniversary Hook O’Malley 5K Run/Walk will be held on Sunday, Aug. 20, at McDade Park at 10 a.m.  Registration will be held from 8:15-9:45 a.m.  Registration will cost $20 up until Thursday, Aug. 17.  Day of Race registration will be $25.
