The University of Scranton Small Business Development Center (SBDC) has announced the grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony of the Dart Zone, Inc., Dunmore.
Owned by Samantha Palumbo, the Dart Zone is a Nerf battle arena where children of any age, “can come in and blast their friends with the foam darts.” said Sam.
Dart Zone offers special promotions and events weekly. They also have room to host birthday parties and other private events.
They change the venue every few months, so nobody will ever have to worry about playing the same match twice. Dart Zone Inc. is located at 1033 Reeves St., Dunmore, and is the only dedicated Foam Dart Arena in Northeast PA.
Gourmet gift shop Nibbles & Bits will celebrate the grand opening of its new location at 205 S. Blakely St., Dunmore, on Thursday, Nov. 8, from 5-8 p.m.
Light fare and musical entertainment will be provided. Marking its 33rd year in business, Nibbles & Bits was established in Dunmore in 1985. Current owner Maggie Calpin purchased the business in 2009 and moved the business to its most recent location in Green Ridge in 2016.
“I am beyond excited for this opportunity,” said Ms. Calpin.
“From our own parking lot to a larger storefront and handicapped- and stroller-accessible ramps, we will be able to give our customers access to an even larger selection of gourmet treats and gifts. We can’t wait to welcome friends and neighbors, both old and new, to our new location.”
Ms. Calpin’s creations through the Nibbles & Bits brand are featured statewide, including at select Wegman’s stores and at McLanahan’s Book Stores in State College.
Community partners, patients, staff and leadership from Allied Services Integrated Health System gathered for the grand opening of the Dunmore Rehab Center. The brand new facility, located at 315 South Blakely Street, adds to the non-profit health system’s 13 existing outpatient locations in Lackawanna, Luzerne, Monroe and Wyoming Counties. This new resource for patients and the local community represents a significant investment and indicator of growth for Allied Services; it is their first new outpatient rehab facility in 10 years.
The Dunmore Rehab Center, under the direction of Clinic Manager, Ashley Reedy, PT, DPT of Gouldsboro, joins Allied Services’ outpatient rehab team which offers a wide variety of rehabilitation programs including pediatrics, orthopedics, spine, women’s health, sports medicine, balance, lymphedema, arthritis, stroke and other neurological disorders.
