Upgrades coming to refreshment stand at St. Anthony’s Playground

The Dunmore Lions Club received a non matching grant in the amount of $5,910 to provide new kitchen flooring for the Saint Anthony’s Association (SAA) refreshment stand as part of the overall renovations at the Hill Street facility. The grant was made possible by the Northeast Pennsylvania Lions Service Foundation located in Macungie, PA.

43rd annual Elite Bunny Hunt

The Dunmore Lions, Rotary, Police and Fire Departments once again combined efforts to hold the 43rd annual “Elite Bunny Hunt” which is always held on Holy Saturday at St. Anthony’s Playground and Pavilion.

The event begins with an Easter Egg Hunt at the adjoining baseball field followed by a chocolate bunny hunt inside the pavilion. Over 600 bags of candy, featuring large and small chocolate bunnies, were distributed to children under the age of 11. Also featured was an Easter basket raffle, ice cream treats, and photos with the Easter Bunny.

Lions Club hosts annual luncheon for Lackawanna Blind Assoc.

The Dunmore Lions Club (DLC) recently hosted their annual luncheon for the Lackawanna Blind Association (LBA) at their building. This year the Lion’s served boxed lunches from Sibio’s Restaurant and homemade pastry to the members and staff of the Association.
