Local Twirlers Perform Show at Sea

Members of the Double “R” Twirlettes, including two Dunmore residents, recently celebrated the group’s 70th anniversary during a cruise to Bermuda. While in Bermuda, the Twirlettes performed at the Royal Naval Dockyard in Kings Wharf.

The Twirlettes are under the direction of Kathleen Mercatili.

Double “R” Twirlettes to Present “Celebrating 70 Years”

The Double “R” Twirlettes will present “Celebrating 70 Years” on Saturday, May 11 at 6:30 p.m. at Mid Valley Secondary Center. The show will look back at the rich and accomplished history of the group and will feature the current Twirlettes as well as alumni special guest performers.

Tickets can be purchased by calling 570-489-1935 or visiting www.doublertwirl.com. Tickets will also be available at the door. The Twirlettes are under the direction of Kathleen Y. Mercatili.
