Easter Egg Hunt Committee Members of the Dunmore Lions Club, Dunmore Rotary, Dunmore Police Department and Dunmore Fire Department met recently to plan the upcoming Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 19, at 10 a.m. at St. Anthony’s Playground, Hill and Cooney Streets. The event is free to children ages 11 and younger.
Students at the Dunmore Elementary Center recently participated in a Spelling Bee.
The third/fourth grade first place winner was Jesse Rudy. The runner up was Jake Shields.
The fifth/sixth grade first place winner was Dallas Kaspriskie. The runner up was Quinn Loughney.
Several Marywood art students earned Addy awards for their creative work from the American Advertising Federation NEPA chapter, at a ceremony held at the Mohegan Sun Convention Center. They competed against other students from Penn College of Technology, Susquehanna University, Wilkes University, and the University of Scranton.
