Andrew Robert Haser, son of Renee and Gary Haser, and a junior at Dunmore High School, is April’s Scholar of the Month. Andy has a brother Philip (PJ) who will be graduating from Penn State in May.

At Dunmore, Andy has a 97.4 grade average and is a member of the National Honor Society. He is a 3-year member of the Varsity soccer team, which went to state playoffs. He plays goalie and says the team is like family.

Andy became an Eagle Scout in October, 2022, after completing his Eagle Scout project in May, 2022. For the project, he was responsible for refinishing the 40 park benches that surround the Lackawanna County Courthouse Square in Scranton. He says that  being a member of Boy Scout Troop 66 in Dunmore helped make him the man he is, and he is truly proud to be a Dunmorean.

Andy loves learning and admires his teachers. He plans to study Information technology and play soccer for a university after he graduates from DHS in 2024.
