Daniel J. Santaniello, President and CEO of Fidelity Bank, recently presented the committee members for the Susan G. Komen Foundation’s upcoming Gala for the Cure with a $5,000 donation. The Gala for the Cure will be held on Friday, Oct. 9 at the Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs.
The gala is a celebration honoring the organization’s 25 years of the Northeast Affiliate of the Susan G. Komen Foundation, one of the longest running affiliates in the nation. Its goal is to raise funds to provide breast health education, breast cancer early detection screening and treatment services to 19 counties in Northeast PA. To date, nearly $4 million has been given locally for services.
“Komen NEPA helps fund services, education and treatment, to uninsured local women and men in need,” stated event co-chair Joann Marsili, Vice President, Director of Marketing and Sales at Fidelity Deposit and Discount Bank. “So many lives have been touched by this awful disease, I am very proud to be part of an organization like Fidelity Bank that realizes the importance and the great need that is fulfilled by Komen NEPA in our area and we so grateful to all of our other sponsors who have generously supported this cause.” added Marsili.
