Marywood Aviation Club delivers “Toys for Tots” to area hospital

Marywood University’s Aviation Club held its annual fundraiser for Toys for Tots, which raises funds through various on-campus events. Following the fundraisers on campus, members of the Aviation Club purchased and delivered toys to children in the pediatrics department at Moses Taylor Hospital.

“Judi H. Rock On 6” raises over $16,000 for Cancer Institute

The Northeast Regional Cancer Institute is pleased to announce the “Judi H. Rock On 6” planning committee raised $16,511 from this year’s event. The Judi H planning committee is made up of a group of friends and family of Judi Hartridge from Dunmore who died from cancer in 2007. The group has raised more than $215,000 over the past six years which includes matching funds. Proceeds from the event support NRCI’s Patient Navigation Program, which helps low income, uninsured, and under-insured individuals in northeast Pennsylvania receive their recommended breast, cervical, and colon cancer screenings.

“Pasta Fiesta” benefits Lackawanna Blind Association

Mary Regina Perry jointly with Bob Harrington recently hosted a “Pasta Fiesta”, Fine Food and Italian Cuisine to benefit the Lackawanna Blind Association  at G’s Wood Grille. A topal of $3,400 was raised to help fund the agencies’ programs and services for Blind and Visually Impaired individuals in Lackawanna County.
