The Dunmore Elementary Center will conduct kindergarten registration for the students who will be entering our kindergarten for the 2017/2018 school year on Wednesday, March 8, and Thursday, March 9. The legal age of a student is 5 years of age by Sept. 1, 2017. The Dunmore School District has established Sept. 1 as the legal entrance date for kindergarten students.

In order to facilitate the registration of students, the registration will be conducted according to the last name of each family.  Please adhere to the following schedule;

Wednesday, March 8, 9 to 11 a.m., A through F; 1 to 2:30 p.m., G through K; Thursday, March 9, 9 to 11 a.m., L through Q; 1 to 2:30 p.m., R through Z.

The items needed for registration are birth certificate, immunization records, proof of Dunmore residency (lease agreement, tax bill, gas or electric bill); Access Card and custody papers (if applicable). An original and a copy of these records must be brought to the school.

A member of the Blind Association will be available during the registration to conduct a vision screening on your child if you wish to have this service performed.  Members of the United Way “Success By 6” Program will also be on hand to perform a pre-screening on your child.  Parents are encouraged to bring their children to the registration.

In addition to the birth certificate, Mrs. Renee Iezzi, MSN, CRNP, elementary school nurse, asks that parents have a copy of the child’s immunization records for school use.
