On 9-25, the Dunmore Elementary Center, along with various businesses and organizations, participated in “Give Like Dolly Day” to support Children’s Literacy in Lackawanna County with the Dolly Parton Imagination Library. Staff and students were encouraged to dress in pink, sparkles, and western-themed attire in honor of Dolly Parton. Students participated in Dolly-themed activities during the school day and the district collected $9, $2, or $5 in honor of her “Working 9 to 5” song to donate to Dolly’s Imagination Library.
