Sherwood Park Summer Festival

The Summer Festival at Sherwood Park will be held Thursday, August 15th through Saturday, August 17th, 5-10pm. There will be nightly entertainment, great food, drinks, raffles, games and bounce houses! 

It’s the biggest fundraiser of the year for the Sherwood Youth Association, and members ask that you please come out and support the park!

La Festa Italiana

La Festa Italiana, the annual celebration of food, culture and music, will be held Labor Day weekend (Friday through Monday, Aug. 30-Sept. 2) on Courthouse Square in the heart of downtown Scranton. Hours are Friday, 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.; Monday 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Visit www.lafestaitaliana.org for details and updates.

SCC Beatles Tribute

The Scranton Cultural Center at the Masonic Temple will present Studio Two: The Early Beatles Tribute on October 11 at 7:30 p.m. Voted as ‘New England’s Best Beatles Tribute Band’ by “The Boston Globe,” Beatles tribute band, Studio Two will return by popular demand with their iconic show in celebration of The Beatles coming to America.

The show will take place in Shopland Hall, located on the building’s fourth floor, with doors opening for bar and concessions at 6:30 p.m.. 

Tickets are $33.25 in advance, and will increase to $43.25 on the day of the show. All ticket prices include fees. Drag Me to Dinner

The Rossetti Foundation for Arts and Culture presents a night of sheer fabulousness, “Drag Me to Dinner,” where glamour meets a dash of naughtiness. The program takes place on  Sunday, August 11, from 5-9 p.m. at The Rossetti Estate, 1005 Vine Street, Scranton. The evening includes live shows, libations, and hors d’oeuvres. 

The event is organized by Frank Carey, and hosted by Chlamydia Berns, plus other dazzling divas Megan Thomas, Hussy Galore, Trixy Valentine, and BellaCentric DeFlair. The cost is $30 and reservations are required. Visit: https://givebutter.com/fNwfkS.

“Drag Me to Dinner” promotes the visibility of our LGBTQ+ community. This event aims at building an anti-hate, diverse and inclusive community through love. 

Tommy Davidson comedy

Prolific comedian Tommy Davidson is bringing ‘A Night of Laughs’ to the F.M. Kirby Center on Friday, October 18 at 7 p.m. Performing with Davidson will be comedians Jacob Williams, Kevin Lepka, and the Picture Perfect band. Ticket prices are $54.50 and $64.50 plus fees.

Sam Grisman Project

The Sam Grisman Project will honor the musical legacies of David Grisman and Jerry Garcia when they play at the F.M. Kirby Center in Wilkes-Barre on Wednesday, September 18, at 7:30 p.m. as part of the Chandelier Concert Series. Tickets are on sale to the public for $27.50 plus fees.
