Calligrapher’s Conference

From  July 17-23, the guild will host IAMPETH-International Association of Master Penmen, Engrossers and Teachers of Handwriting member conference at The Hilton Scranton & Conference Center. This is an exciting once-in -a-lifetime event for our area.

It brings over 250 participants together for intensive study in the lettering arts to improve their craft, guided by artisan experts. The draw to the Electric City is the special collection of vintage and illuminated documents housed at The University of Scranton’s Weinberg Library.

The guild is thrilled to welcome new visitors, showcase our uniquely diverse community, highlight area culture, and create a welcoming pathway to local businesses. Meetings, presentations and workshops are currently held in room 336A, Insalaco Center, Marywood University.

In addition to the conference, the guild will exhibit for the month of September at The Hazleton Art League, 31 W Broad Street, Hazleton. An opening reception will be held on  Friday, Sept. 1.
