Leadership Lackawanna Hold Fundraising Raffle

Leadership Lackawanna’s Core Program Class of 2022 is presenting a fundraising raffle event for Mercatili-Segilia Park during Scranton Ice Fest 2022 when 50-50 tickets and raffle basket opportunities will be available outside of the Greater Scranton Chamber of Commerce building, 222 Mulberry St. Scranton, on Friday, Feb. 4 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday, Feb. 5 from noon to 3 p.m. 

Raffle tickets will be sold at a cost of $10 for five tickets and $15 for 10 tickets. Tickets will be eligible for baskets and gift cards from Mendicino’s, Meal Prep Grind, Kriger Pipeline, Autumn Granza Photography, Pronko Jewelers, ShopRite/ACE Hardware, Kalahari, Greater Scranton YMCA, as well as cash prizes. Raffle ticket sales are cash-only.

This two-day fundraising event will benefit Mercatili-Segilia Park located at 4046 Birney Avenue, Moosic. Winners will be drawn on Saturday, Feb. 5t, after 3 p.m. and winners’ names will be posted on Leadership Lackawanna’s Facebook page. 

All funds raised will be used to support improvements to the park that will be carried out by Leadership Lackawanna’s Mercatili-Segilia Park project team in coordination with the Mercatili-Segilia Park Committee. The team began fundraising in 2021 and planned improvements include refurbishing the park’s picnic tables, benches and gazebo, and installing signage. The mission of the Mercatili-Segilia Park Committee is to ensure the community has a clean, well-maintained park – including pavilion and playground for all to enjoy.
