Patricia B. Simrell, 84, Moosic, died Sunday at Allied Services Hospice Center,

She was preceded in death by her husband John E. “Jack” B. Simrell on October 15, 2012.

Born in Scranton she was the daughter of the late Edward and Helen Beckman.

She was a graduate of South Scranton Catholic High School and prior to retirement was employed for many years by Fidelity Bank, Dunmore.

She was a member of Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary Church at St. Paul of the Cross Parish, South Scranton and enjoyed the winters spent in Florida with her late husband.

In addition to getting together daily with her friends and fellow board of directors members, Mary Ellen Occhipinti, Karen Horger an Marie Brominski  for information sharing she also enjoyed baking ,trips to casinos and especially Las Vegas and socializing with friends at Arcaro & Genell’s  Restaurant.

Pat’s family wishes to offer a sincere thank you to Dr. Ken Sebastianelli and the staff at Allied Services Hospice for all their compassionate care.

Surviving is a son Jack and his wife Cindy, Moosic, brothers-in-law,Joseph Simrell and his wife, JoAnn, Gerald Simrell and his wife Cathy and William Williams and sisters-in-law, Ann Burke, Helen and Mary Ann Simrell and nieces, nephews and cousins.

The funeral will be Thursday from the Carlucci-Golden-DeSantis Funeral Home Inc. 318 East Drinker St., Dunmore with mass of Christian burial to be celebrated at 9:30 A.M. in Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary Church at St. Paul of the Cross Parish 1221 Prospect Ave., Scranton. Interment in Cathedral  Cemetery. 

Friends may call Wednesday at the funeral home from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. 

In Lieu of flowers Preferred   memorial contributions may be made to Allied Services Hospice Center, 511 Morgan Highway, Scranton 18508.
