Magisterial District Judge Paul Ware, community leader, father, and experienced litigator, today announced he will run for a seat as judge on the Lackawanna County Court of Common Pleas in the May 2021 primary election.
Ware, currently serving his 10th year as Magisterial District Judge, has extensive experience in the law as former Lackawanna County Deputy District Attorney and is a practicing member of Minora, Krowiak & Munley Law Firm in Scranton, PA. He has spent many years working in the community as former instructor with the Lackawanna County Police Academy and Adjunct Professor of Constitutional & Business Law at Lackawanna College, past president of the Lackawanna County Columbus Day Association, former mock trial moderator at Holy Cross High School, current Mock-Trial Judge, and past treasurer of the Green Ridge Little League.
“I’m seeking this position because I am a citizen who cares deeply about the quality of life and the safety of our communities and families. I am committed to all of the residents who call Lackawanna County home.” Ware commented. “Anyone considering running for judge should have a deep understanding of the law and extensive experience in understanding how our county court system works. Ware graduated West Scranton High School, earned his Bachelor’s degree from The University of Scranton, and law degree from Widener School of Law. He currently resides in Dunmore. He has 4 grown children, daughter Kate resides in Annapolis, Maryland; daughter Maggie in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; daughter Mary in Fort Polk, Louisiana; and son Michael in San Diego, California.
Paul Ware will utilize nearly a decade of judicial experience, integrity, unbiased decision-making, and leadership as Lackawanna County Judge. The seat will be vacant upon the retirement of Judge Thomas J. Munley. Primary Election Day is May 18, 2021. Ware’s campaign chairperson is Attorney Thomas W. Munley and his committee treasurer is Michael J. Mellody, CPA.
