Dunmore Based Businesses Take Home SAGE Awards


Businesses based in Dunmore were among the winners of the 2019 SAGE Awards (Scranton Awards for Growth and Excellence) announced publicly by The Greater Scranton Chamber of Commerce at its Chamber Gala at the Hilton Scranton & Conference Center. The awards honor outstanding local businesses for their talent, creativity, and innovation. 

The Borough of Dunmore won the Pride and Progress: Exterior Renovations award for the renovation of Schautz Stadium; Penn State Scranton won the Pride and Progress: Interior Renovations award, and FNCB Bank tied with AAA North Penn for the Pride and Progress: New Construction award.

United Sports Academy took home the People’s Choice Award.

More than 100 applications were received. A group of volunteer community leaders and professionals teamed up to review applications and select finalists. The Chamber is proud to honor businesses that are making valuable contributions to the region and contributing to our overall quality of life.  

The other winners, in each category, are: Northeastern Rehabilitation Associates, Best Practices in Community Involvement; Penn Foster, Best Practices in Customer Service; Posture Interactive, Best Practices in Marketing and Communications; Woodloch Resort, Business of the Year; Bedrock Technology, Fastest Growing Company.

Also, Scranton Fringe Festival “Big Gay StorySlam,” Hometown Star; CaPAA of NEPA, LLC, New and Emerging Business of the Year; Discovery MI Preschool, Non-Profit Organization of the Year, and Lavish Body and Home, Small Business of the Year.
