Penn State Scranton Campus Marks 50th Anniversary


The Lackawanna County Commissioners recently presented a proclamation to Chancellor Marwan Wafa, Ph.D., inside left, in recognition of the 50th anniversary of Penn State Scranton’s campus (formerly Penn State Worthington Scranton) in Dunmore.

From its start of classes in 1968 in one structure, the campus now boasts nine buildings and offers 13 Bachelor’s Degrees, four Associates Degrees, 11 minors, an MSN in Nurse Practitioner, a variety of clubs, and varsity and intramural sports.
