Sarah Masucci of Dunmore is a Marywood University senior graphic arts major who is interning this summer for The Dunmorean.
One of her paintings was recently selected for a May calendar by Smashing Magazine, an online site for creative designers to publish their digital artwork each month.
“April and May are usually when everything starts to bloom, especially the magnolia trees. I live in an area where there are many and when the wind blows, the petals make it look like snow is falling,” Ms. Masucci explains.
Her goal is to inspire people to follow their passion through the arts.
A graduate of Dunmore High School, Lackawanna and Luzerne Colleges, Sarah loves learning in a variety of fields. Her hobbies include hiking, drawing, painting, and riding her motorcycle.
“I want to experience everything life offers, because having those experiences makes you grow as a person,” she says.
She will spend the summer working in various capacities, including ad design with The Dunmorean and digital design for Hart Law of Scranton.
Sarah is the daughter of Orlando (Lanny) and Annette (Annie) Masucci, Terrace Street, Dunmore. She has a brother, Michael.
