Valley View Student Wins UNICO’s Brian Piccolo Award

Dunmore’s Keystone Chapter UNICO  presented its first Brian Piccolo Award to a deserving high school senior in Lackawanna County.

Under the direction of Keystone UNICO member Marilyn Vitali, the awardee is selected from a pool of candidates submitted by each of the Lackawanna County high schools. Qualifications include a B or better grade average, exemplary amount of service hours, good character, acceptance into college, Italian ethnicity and excellence in sports.

The award is named after the late Brian Piccolo, NFL running back for the Chicago Bears. This first award was presented to Anthony Ceccarelli Jr. from Valley View High School, who is furthering his education at Penn State Main Campus.
