A third season of weekly Lakeside Concerts at Hillside Park will kick off on Wednesday, June 24 with a 6:00-8:00 p.m. performance by Music for Models and Paul LaQuintano.
There is no cost to attend the family-friendly outdoor concerts thanks to ironclad volunteer management, quality media sponsorship, and steady financial sponsorship from regional businesses and the Overlook Estates Foundation.
Friends and neighbors can enjoy a reprieve from cooking at home each week by grabbing dinner from concert vendors or tailgating with each Wednesday evening starting at 6:00 p.m. For the 10-week concert series, the Abington Area Joint Recreation Board has slated a variety of genres from indie to jazz and classics through the decades. The outdoor entertainment is free and features diversity that ranges from solo artists to a 12-piece orchestra.
Hillside Park is set on 100 acres intersected by Route 307/Winola Road in between Abington Heights High School and Middle School – adjacent to both Clarks Summit State Hospital and the Abington Senior Center.
