Marywood open house

Marywood University will hold a spring open house for prospective graduate students on Wednesday, March 19, at 6 p.m. Registration begins at 5:30 p.m. with light refreshments and conversations with faculty. The event will be held in the Fireplace Lounge at the Nazareth Student Center on the University’s campus. 

Prospective students will learn about the admissions process and affordability options, and receive valuable information about their program of interest from faculty at individual meetings.

The Night the Music Lived

On Saturday, April 5, The Theater at North will host “The Night the Music Lived,” a heartfelt tribute to the legendary artists who shaped rock and roll—Elvis, Buddy Holly, Richie Valens, and The Big Bopper. Featuring Richie Santa, one of the best Elvis tribute artists in the country, the show promises to transport audiences back to a golden era of music. The Rave-Ons have performed worldwide, bringing their electric energy to Celebrity and Holland America Cruise Lines, BB King’s in Times Square, and even Buddy Holly’s hometown of Lubbock, Texas.

Whether you’re a lifelong fan or discovering these classics for the first time, it’s a night of music and memories that will stay with you long after the final note is played.

 Rodney Carrington Show

Outback Presents will host comedian Rodney Carrington on March 27 at 7 p.m. at the Scranton Cultural Center at the Masonic Temple. Rodney Carrington is a multi-talented comedian, actor, singer and writer playing sold-out shows around the world as one of the top 10 highest-grossing touring comedians for the past two decades.

The show will take place in the Harry & Jeanette Weinberg Theatre, located on the building’s first floor, with doors opening for bar and concessions at 6 p.m. Tickets start at $62.60 with a VIP add-on package available. Rock & Roll Hall of Fame performers Joan Jett & The Blackhearts will perform at the F.M. Kirby Center for the Performing Arts on Saturday, April 19, at 7:30 p,m.
