The Dunmore Elementary Center hosted ”Literacy Under the Lights” at the football stadium on October 17. This event, which promoted literacy, was organized by curriculum coordinator Danielle Pensack.
The event included a book swap, make your own bookmark table, parent resources, and a table from the Scranton Public Library. Students were able to read to Wally the therapy dog and members of the Dunmore Bucks football team, marching units, cheerleaders, and Crimsonettes were on hand to read to students under the lights on the football field.
