Friends and family of a woman from Dunmore who lost her battle with cancer are planning their sixth annual fundraiser, Judi H Rock On 6, to support the Northeast Regional Cancer Institute in her memory. Judi Hartridge was a vibrant and giving nurse, who passed away after a year-long battle with cancer in December 2007.
To honor her memory, family and friends formed a committee- Judi H Rock On, to raise funds to fight the disease that claimed her life.
Legendary hometown favorite group, Old Friends, will be honored at the event as the recipients of the fourth Music Lifetime Achievement Award. The ticket price of $25 will not only include a night of fantastic music and refreshments, but also entry into a raffle for two tickets to Jersey Boys at Scranton Cultural Center, dinner at POSH, and a driver for the evening, an Apple iPad, and a one-year Greater Scranton YMCA family gym membership. Guests will have the opportunity to take a chance on raffle baskets and strike a pose at the photo booth. A cash bar will also be available.
Tickets can be purchased prior to the event by calling the Cancer Institute at (570) 941-7984 or visiting www.judihrockon.com. Tickets can also be purchased at the door the day of the event.
